Dilute Phase Conveying System

In dilute phase conveying, a low-pressure compressor is used to force the material through the pipe as if it were floating in air, without the particles collecting at the bottom of the pipe. Dilute phase conveying is ideal for conveying large amounts of material in a short time because the material can be conveyed at high speeds.

A silo is a structure used to store bulk materials. Silos are commonly used to store grain, coal, cement, ash, calcite, dust, food, and wood chips. In agriculture, they are also used to store fermented feed, also called silage. Products stored in silos are protected from getting wet in the rain and from heating in the heat. Silos are systems that are properly ventilated and humidity controlled.

Powdered and granular raw materials may be pulverized in the process. In this dusting, dust collectors, also known as cyclones or filters, are used to separate the material from the air again.
